Protecting the privacy of all visitors to this site is extremely important to the General Osteopathic Council of Canada (GOCC).

The following privacy policy provides information on how the GOCC collects, uses and safeguards the personal information you provide. This policy may be updated at a future time, as necessary, so please re-read it periodically.

Collected Information

GOCC collects information about an identified individual in three ways:

  • During information requests via email, mailing list signup, seminar / workshop registration or Practitioner registration, you provide us with personal information;

  • When payment is received for a seminar / workshop or membership registration, you provide us with personal information; either indirectly through the credit card processing company of PayPal or directly in the form of cheque or money order;

  • When you access this web site, your computer leaves a data trail (cookie).

How Collected Information is Used

GOCC uses your personal information to better understand your needs and provide you with better service. Specifically, your information is used to complete a transaction, to communicate with you and to provide you with requested information.

Credit Cards

Credit card numbers are used for payment processing only. When payment is made in full through the credit card processing company of PayPal, online, GOCC does not receive any credit card numbers. If payment is made over the phone, GOCC destroys the information after the transaction is completed.

Our Assurance

From time to time, GOCC may use your information to contact you for quality assurance or satisfaction information. GOCC will not sell, trade, rent or lease your personally identifiable information to others, unless permission is given, are assisting law enforcement or are otherwise required to do so by law.
